The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional 310.30.42.50.04.001 is a contemporary execution of the Moonwatch design, presented with a white lacquered dial and sapphire crystals on both the front and the caseback. The model draws visual inspiration from the fourth-generation Speedmaster worn during lunar missions, while incorporating Omega’s current Master Chronometer movement architecture. The watch features a 42 mm stainless steel asymmetrical case with a lug-to-lug length of 47.50 mm and a thickness of 13.18 mm. Water resistance is rated to 5 bar. The case is fitted with a black anodised aluminium bezel with a tachymeter scale, including the dot over 90 detail. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on the inside protects the dial, while a sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the movement. The white lacquered step dial is equipped with applied hour markers and an applied Omega logo. Black details provide contrast, complemented by Moonwatch-style hands. The chronograph layout consists of a small seconds display, a 30-minute counter, and a 12-hour recorder, arranged in the traditional tri-compax configuration. Powering the watch is the manual-winding Omega Calibre 3861, a Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement certified by METAS. The movement operates at a frequency of 3 Hz and offers a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. It is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and features a free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring.
